Tom and Jeanine Springer - Owners & Developers
Tom and Jeanine Springer met in the town of Farmington, NM. Married now for 40 years, they are parents to daughters Ashley and Jessie Springer. Together, they are a phenomenal team and the backbone to the management staff at the Pecan Grill. Both are avid outdoorsmen, and Jeanine enjoys spending all of her free time with her horse Notchie. You can find them most nights enjoying one of Chef's signature dishes in the bar. Feel free to stop and say hi!
Tanya Varela - Food & Beverage Director
Daniel Neal ~ General Manager
Daniel started with the Pecan Grill five years ago as a busser, gaining experience through his entry level position. Shortly after, he trained with, in his own words, the "best of our crew", to become a server, working in the dining room and patio. A year later he became a bartender and a part-time manager, obtaining valuable experience and work ethic. He credits Justin Karrenberg, our previous bar manager , for both his knowledge and preparation to enter into his current position with The Pecan Grill & Brewery.
Arturo Tovar - Executive Chef
Cooking Saved My Life...what more can I say. At a young age I grew up working in my grandmothers restaurant, in Los Angeles, CA. It was there I learned the hard work and ethic that continues to help me thrive today. After a brief hiatus from the kitchen, I returned. Having gained knowledge and experience from some wonderful teachers and chefs along the way, I am ready to continue my growth and understanding in the culinary industry. Being blessed to do something I love and to have such a great team around me makes me feel like I'm back were I started; cooking with my family.
Ruben Espinoza ~ Executive Sous Chef
I was born and raised in Alamogordo, NM. I came to Las Cruces in 2007. I was working somewhere else at the time when the Springer family started working on the Pecan Grill & Brewery. I applied in 2009 and got a job as the broil cook, but I have moved my way up to sous chef; something I am very proud of. I love my job and I love my co-workers; they are my second family. It's home away from home. The owners are great people and they have treated me right from day one. I'm very happy that I get the opportunity to make people happy and want to continue to make great food for the people of Las Cruces!
